The most successful team in the 35-year history of the program, the 2000 Coyotes rattled off wins in 13-of-14 matches through the months of October and November - including a dominant 6-1 home victory over Concordia and a 6-0 victory over rival Northwest Nazarene. Dan Bruce was named Cascade Conference Player of the Year, with Bruce, Jared Larsen, Ben Moore, Coe Michaelson, Rick Latham, Andy Reed and Jake Steele earning All-CCC honors, with head coach John Calpin earning Coach of the Year honors.

The Yotes won their first-ever CCC Tournament title with a 2-1 victory over Concordia, advancing to the NAIA Region I Championships, where they dispatched Concordia and host Simon Fraser, to earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships - the only berth so far in program history.
