Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Goodwin is in his fourth season with the Coyote cross country and track program; was honored in 2015 as a member of the Capital One Cross Country/Track and Field College Division Academic All-America team and an Academic All-District 4 selection.

CROSS COUNTRY: In 2014, had a career-best 8,000-meter time of 25:13 at the Inland Empire Classic, placing 32nd, while placing 148th at the NAIA National Championships; in 2013, ran a season-best time of 26:38 at the NAIA Championships, finishing as the Yotes No. 5 runner, placing 195th overall; in 2012, ran a season-best time of 27:07 at the Adidas Classic; named to the Cascade Conference All-Academic Team in 2013 and 2014, while earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2014.

TRACK & FIELD: In 2015, placed ninth at the CCC Championships in the 10,000-meters with a career-best time of 33:11; in 2014, placed 11th at the CCC Championships in the 10,000-meters, recording top marks of 15:43 in the 5,000 and 33:26 in the 10,000; in 2013, had a 2013 season-best 1,500-meter time of 4:21 at the PLU Invitational and a 5,000-meter time of 16:05; named to the CCC All-Academic Team in 2014 and 2015, while earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors in 2015.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Bishop Kelly High, where he ran cross country and track; had a top 5,000-meter time as a prep of 16:34.

PERSONAL: Studying Biology; son of Rick and Mary Goodwin.
