AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Fred is in his second season with the Coyote cross country and track programs.

2016: In track, qualified for the Cascade Conference Championships in the 1,500-meters and 5,000-meters - placing eighth in the 1,500; recorded top times of 4:02.49 in the 1,500 and 15:21 in the 5,000; indoors, clocked a season best time of 2:33 in the 1,000-meters.

2015: In cross country, earned All-CCC honors after a fifth-place finish at the CCC Championships; placed 44th at the NAIA Championships with a time of 25:41; had a season-best time of 25:18 over 8,000-meters at the Inland Empire Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2015 graduate of Middleton High, where he had a banner senior season in both sports; in cross country, was the runner-up at the 4A state championships; in track, was the runner-up in both the 1,600-meters and 3,200-meters at the 4A state championships; clocked prep top times of 4:15 in the 1,600-meters and 9:25 in the 3,200-meters.

PERSONAL: Studying biology; son of Lynn and Crystal Fred.
