Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Higby is in his second season with the Coyote football and track programs.

2017: Posted a season-best 60m time of 7.37 at the Jacksons Invitational and a season-best long jump of 6.78m at the Boise State Challenge

2016: In track, earned All-Cascade Conference honors after placing third in the 200-meters at the CCC Championships; had top outdoor times of 10.92 seconds in the 100-meters and 22.04 seconds in the 200-meters - both the fastest marks by C of I runners since track returned in 2005; was a part of the school record 4x100-meter relay team; also had a top long jump mark of 7.07 meters (23 feet, 2 inches); indoors, had top times of 7.18 seconds in the 60-meter dash and a school-record 22.53 seconds in the 200-meters.

2015: In football, had a banner junior season, earning All-Frontier Conference honors as a wide receiver; despite missing most of the first five games, had 34 receptions for 605 yards and six touchdowns, averaging nearly 18 yards per reception; had 10 receptions for 168 yards against Montana Western - the third-most receptions and fourth-highest receiving yard total in program history; made three receptions for 136 yards and two scores vs. Carroll, including an 87-yard touchdown reception; rushed seven times for 87 yards and one touchdown; his 605 receiving yards were the No. 4 mark in C of I history, with his six touchdown receptions ranking No. 5 on the single-season list.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Transferred to the C of I after two seasons at Santa Barbara City College, where he competed in both football and track; in football, made 17 receptions for 165 yards and three touchdowns as a freshman, while recording eight catches for 100 yards as a sophomore; during the 2014 season, averaged 24.7 yards per kickoff return and 15.8 yards per punt return; in track, had top times of 10.87 in the 100-meters and 21.78 in the 200-meters, placing fourth in the Western State Conference Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Borah High, where he played both football and ran track; had 28 receptions for 419 yards as a senior, earning All-Southern Idaho Conference honors; was a part of state title winning 4x200-meter relay at the 2012 5A state championships.

PERSONAL: Studying biology; son of Michael and Linda Higby.
