Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Haas is in his fourth season with the Coyote track and field program and third with the cross country program.

2017: In track, posted a career-best 800-meter time of 1:57.70 at the Border Clash; recorded a career best 1,500-meter time of 4:15.83 at the Eastern Oregon Team Challenge; finished tenth in the 800-meters at the Cascade Championships with a time of 1:58.85; was named to the CCC All-Academic Team.

2016: In track, had a top 800-meter time of 1:59.65 at the Northwest Nazarene Invitational; named to the Cascade Conference All-Academic Team. In cross country, competed in four meets, recording a top time of 29:05 at the Montana Invite.

2015: In track, had a top outdoor 400-meter time of 54.54 at the Eastern Oregon Twilight; recorded top indoor times of 52.03 in the 400-meters and 1:25.15 in the 600-meters. In cross country, competed in one race, clocking a time of 29:52 at the Inland Empire Classic; named to the CCC All-Academic Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Meridian High, where he ran track and played both soccer and football; in track, placed seventh at the 5A state championships in the 800-meters; had top prep times of 50.87 in the 400-meters and 1.57.24 in the 800-meters.

PERSONAL: Studying health sciences; son of Bill and Billie Joe Haas.
