Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: McLaughlin is in his fourth year with the Coyote Track and Field program.

2019: Placed seventh in the long jump (6.43 meters) at the Cascade Conference Championships; had top marks of 49.59 seconds in the 400-meters and 55.99 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles; named to the CCC All-Academic and NAIA Scholar-Athlete Teams.

2018: Placed sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at the Cascade Conference Championships, while running legs on both the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams; has season-best indoor marks of 7.29 seconds in the 60-meters and 51.08 seconds in the 400-meters, while recording outdoor times of 50.27 in the 400-meters and 56.21 in the 400-meter hurdles; named to the CCC All-Academic Team.

2017: Posted a personal-best decathlon score of 5,339 points at the CCC Championships; finishing eighth overall; had top outdoor marks of 11.26 in the 100-meters and 50.63 in the 400-meters; posted a personal-best heptathlon score of 3,497 points at the Mountain States Games 

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Meridian High, where he qualified for the 5A state championships in the 300-meter hurdles, placing third as a junior and fourth as a senior.

PERSONAL: Studying art/marketing.
