Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Mahon is in his third season with the Coyote football program, also competed in track for one year.

2020: In football, saw action in two games during the COVID shortened spring season; recorded five total tackles, including a sack at Eastern Oregon. In track, competed in the shot put during the indoor season, recording a season-best mark of 12.92 meters (42 feet, 4 inches).

2019: In football, played in 11 games as part of the defensive end rotation; finished the season with 37 total tackles, six tackles for loss, five sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception; recorded a team-high 12 tackles in a playoff win over Ottawa; added two sacks in a road win over Rocky Mountain; returned an interception for a touchdown in a win over Montana State-Northern.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Transferred after two seasons at Division I Idaho, where he played in three games on special teams during the 2018 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Council High, where he was a two-time 1A All-State selection and four-time All-Long Pin Conference selection; earned the 2016 Wendy's Idaho High School Heisman Award winner; in his final two seasons, combined for 3,000 yards of total offense and 66 touchdowns on offense, while defensively, racked up 495 tackles and 17 interceptions. In track, place third at the 1A state championships in the shot put (49-11); also played basketball as a prep.
