Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Cervantes is in his fourth year on the Coyote cross country and track teams.

2018-19: In track, earned All-Cascade Conference honors with a second-place finish in the 10,000-meters at the CCC Championships (32:11)...also qualified for the CCC Championships in the 5,000-meters (15:19)...earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCC All-Academic Team honors. In cross country, named CCC Runner of the Year after winning the individual title at the CCC Championships (24:59)...recorded three 8,000-meter times under 25:30 on the season...earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCC All-Academic Team honors.

2017-18: In track, earned All-America honors in the 10,000-meters, placing eighth overall at the NAIA Championships; earned All-Cascade Conference honors with a second-place finish in the 10,000-meters (31:28); season-best time of 14:58 in the 5,000-meters. In cross country, placed 24th at the CCC Championships and 56th at the NAIA Championships; had a season-best 8,000-meter time of 25:11 at the Warrior Invite. Named to the CCC All-Academic Team in both cross country and track.

2016-17: In track, finished 12th overall in the 5,000 meters at the Cascade Conference Championships with a time of 15:30.29; finished tenth overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the CCC Championships with a time of 9:54.46; posted a season best 5,000-meter time of 15:26.38 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival. In cross country, was a part of the traveling team to the CCC Championships, had a season-best 8,000-meter time of 26:45 at the Warrior Invite.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Bishop Kelly High, where he was a member of both the cross country and track teams; placed 14th as a senior in the 4A state cross country championships.
