Pack of Yotes Named to PNCLL All-Conference, O'Neill Named Coach of the Year

CALDWELL, Idaho — The College of Idaho men's lacrosse team continues to cement its place among the conference's top programs after an outstanding showing in the 2025 Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) All-Conference awards. Ten Yotes were honored with All-Conference or Honorable Mention selections, while Head Coach Drake O'Neill was named PNCLL Coach of the Year after leading the team to a historic season.

Midfielders Wyatt Neu and Paul O'Neill, along with defender Kale Brunmeier, were each named to the PNCLL First Team. Neu capped off a dominant season by scoring 31 goals and adding 15 assists for a total of 46 points. He also grabbed 51 ground balls and caused 9 turnovers. O'Neill matched Neu's brilliance in the midfield, contributing 21 goals and 23 assists (44 points), along with 29 ground balls and 4 caused turnovers.

Brunmeier anchored a stifling Yotes defense that became a hallmark of the team's success. A consistent and vocal leader, Brunmeier collected 27 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers while setting the tone for the unit's intensity and resilience.

On the PNCLL Second Team, attacker Alex Ozuna, defender Max Anderson, and goalie Jacob Wong were recognized for their outstanding seasons. Ozuna tallied 25 goals and 20 assists (45 points) and grabbed 34 ground balls. Anderson proved to be a force on the defensive end, collecting 40 ground balls, causing 21 turnovers, and even adding 5 assists. Between the pipes, Wong was nearly impenetrable, recording 160 saves with an outstanding 65.6% save percentage.

Head Coach Drake O'Neill was recognized as PNCLL Coach of the Year after orchestrating a season that included a nine-game winning streak, a signature victory over No. 9-ranked Utah State, and a final regular season ranking of No. 16 in the MCLA Division II regular season poll.
