CALDWELL, Idaho - Wrapping up a weekend of top 20 games at Simplot Stadium, the No. 10 Yotes earned a statement 14-2 victory over the visiting No. 18 Western Washington Univ. Vikings.With the win, C of I improves to 8-0 on the season and earned the programs 4th victory over teams receiving votes or ranked this season.
The Vikings got off to a quick start by scoring the opening goal but the Yotes responded with two goals of their own. The visitors tied the game up in the first quarter to make it 2-2 but the Yotes captured the lead to end the quarter up 3-2. After the end of the first quarter, the rest of the day belonged to the Yotes. Counting the last goal of the first quarter, the Yotes went on a 13 goal run to capture an emphatic 14-2 victory.
Despite the defense giving up two early goals,
Brogan Rice made nine saves on the day with a 81.8% save rate.
Eli Longstreet showed his strength and defensive recognition to cause five turnovers to disrupt the Vikings attack.
Noah Geise was a menace from faceoff. He won 80% of his faceoffs which significantly aided the Yotes dominance. Geise also had a team high seven groundballs.

Cameron Rudis all picked up three loose balls.Â
Wyatt Neu led the offense with seven points coming from four goals and three assists.
Colin Lantz,
Henry Harris, and
Logan Bjornethun all scored two goals in the contest. Also tallying a goal in the game was

Finn Simon.
The Yotes hit the road next for a trip to Arizona to face Arizona Christian University on March 21st at 12:30PM MT and then Northern Arizona University on March 22nd at 2PM MT.
