GLENDALE, Ariz. - Facing sweltering heat, the No. 4 Yotes stayed hot and powered past Arizona Christian University 20-4. The College of Idaho has jumped to a 9-0 start and have reached their highest ranking in program history.
The Yotes looked to dominate early and scored six goals in the first frame and followed up with another six goals in the second quarter. The Firestorm offense could only score once in the first half with the imposing Yotes defense creating havoc. Another seven goals by the C of I attack in the third quarter put the game well out of reach.
Brogan Rice made 13 saves before making way for
Cole Wentworth and
Boston Brandt who both made three more saves each. Defensively,
Eli Longstreet grabbed eight groundballs while also causing four turnovers.
Chris Niemann found his way on the Firestorm's side and powered past a goal.
The midfield held their own on both sides of the ball.
Parker Allumbaugh grabbed five groundballs and scored a goal while causing a pair of turnovers.
Noah Geise led the Yotes with nine groundballs. Five midfielders scored goals with
Trevor Shoopman scoring a hattrick.

Trevor Shoopman showed off his play making ability by adding three assists.
With blazing temperatures, the Yotes attack had ice in their veins.
Grayson Flatten led the Yotes attack with three goals.
