CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho goalkeeper Matej Hron was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Men's Soccer Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, for the second time this season after a standout weekend in goal.
Hron posted back-to-back clean sheets to help the Yotes extend their unbeaten streak to four matches. He totaled 12 saves across contests against Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon, turning away dangerous chances while maintaining complete control of his penalty area.
A commanding presence on crosses and confident as a sweeper keeper, Hron's play anchored the Yotes' defense and delivered four points on the weekend. He is now tied for the most shutouts in CCC play and ranks second in total saves.
