SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Two College of Idaho divers,
Maddie Mann and
Matt Logston, secured their places at the NAIA Nationals during this weekend's Slug Shootout. Mann posted a score of 183.2, while Logston recorded 216.1, both exceeding the qualifying standards and leading the Yotes' standout performances on the boards.
Cahill Robinson delivered a strong showing in the pool, finishing fourth in the men's 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 28.16. Robinson outpaced competitors from The Master's University and Southwestern Oregon Community College, showing his strength in a highly competitive field.
Multiple Yotes swimmers surpassed their seed times, including
Tommy Hobson, Sam Cortez, Nolan Gefros, and
Cam Schwarzbach who completed the men's 200-yard medley relay in 1:58.18, shaving an impressive 1.42 seconds off his seeded time. In the women's 400-yard medley relay,
Lily Schroer,
Darby Rossi, Sophie Mottioshaw,
Shae Arnold posted a 4:54.13, improving by over a second. The 200 yard men's relay finished 6th which included
Karl Yount,
Matti Eikenes, Sam Cortez, and
Ognjen Markovic with a 1:29.82.
The Yotes will return to competition next month at the Vandal Invite in Moscow, Idaho, from November 22-24.
