WHITEFISH, Mont. – Seven College of Idaho football players were named first-team All-Frontier Conference, as the 2021 league awards were announced by the league office.
Two additional Coyotes were honored as second-team selections, as C of I finished the campaign with a 7-3 record and a share of their third-straight conference title.
Five Yotes were repeat first-team selections – led by
Nick Calzaretta, who became just the third C of I player to be named to the first-team three consecutive years. The senior led the Frontier Conference with 978 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, establishing C of I's career rushing mark during the season.
Four defensive players –
Keagan McCoy,
Dylan Martinez,
Taeson Hardin and
Dorian Hardin – all earned first-team accolades for the second-straight year.
McCoy had a banner fall, leading all Coyote linemen with 47 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and tying the school record with 7.5 sacks.
Martinez led the Frontier Conference with 109 tackles – the second-highest total in program history – adding 10 tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries.
Taeson Hardin earns first-team honors for the second-straight year after earning second-team honors in 2019. The senior posted a career-high 77 tackles and 16 passes defended, while leading the Frontier Conference with three forced fumbles.
Dorian Hardin was the top cornerback in the league, finishing the year with 43 tackles, 20 passes defended and three interceptions.

Connor Gagain and kick returner
Caden Cobb were also selected to the first-team – Gagain catching 17 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns, while being an integral part of the C of I running game, while Cobb averaged 21.4 yards on 20 kick returns during the season.
A pair of Coyote offensive linemen, tackles
Ryan Halford and
Garrett Rehberg, were named to the second-team. Halford earns second-team honors for the second-straight year, with Rehberg earning his first all-league award.
Montana Western quarterback Jon Jund was named Offensive Player of the Year, Eastern Oregon's Chase Van Wyck and Sage DeLong shared Defensive Player of the Year honors, with Rocky Mountain's Chris Stutzreim earning Coach of the Year honors.
