Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: McCoy is in his fourth season with the Coyote football program; heads into his senior season with 86 career tackles and 13 sacks.

2020: Played in all four games during the COVID shortened spring season, earning All-Frontier Conference honors; had 11 tackles and 2.5 sacks during the season, leading the team with three tackles for loss; had 1.5 sacks in the season opening win over MSU-Northern, while adding a fumble recovery for a touchdown at Eastern Oregon.

2019: Played in all 12 games as part of the defensive line rotation; finished the season with 38 total tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks; earned Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording eight tackles and a school-record 4.5 sacks in home win over Montana State-Northern; added five tackles in home win over Montana Western.

2018: Played in 10 games as a true freshman as part of the regular defensive line rotation, recording 37 tackles; had 5.5 tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks; recorded a season-high eight tackles vs. Montana Tech, adding seven tackles at Southern Oregon.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2018 graduate of Capital High, where he was the Southern Idaho Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior...also named to the 5A All-State Team after recording 18 sacks.
