KANSAS CITY, Mo. – College of Idaho setter
Marija Djonovic was named today the NAIA Volleyball National Setter of the Week, announced by the NAIA sports information staff.
The senior becomes the eighth player in program history and third setter to earn the distinction – joining Amanda Basanez (2004) and Erin Cherrington (2006).
Djonovic helped the Yotes to home wins over Northwest and Evergreen, averaging 13.4 assists per set on the weekend. She had 55 assists and 14 digs in the win over NU, her sixth double-double of the season and her fifth match with 50 or more assists, adding 39 assists against TESC.
The leader in assists per set in the Cascade Conference, Djonovic ranks No. 10 in assists and No. 14 in assists per set nationally – while surpassing the 2,000-assist mark for her career.
The Lady Yotes return to action this weekend with road matches against Corban and Northwest Christian.
