College of Idaho Announces Initial 2025 Football Signing Class

CALDWELL, Idaho — The College of Idaho football program proudly welcomes its initial 2025 signing class, featuring 30 talented student-athletes from across the region and beyond. This group brings an impressive array of skills, leadership qualities, and academic achievements, promising to bolster the Yotes' competitive edge on the field.

"We are thrilled with the start of this year's recruiting class," said Head Coach, Mike Moroski. "This group has the potential to make an immediate impact, and we can't wait to see how they contribute to our program."

Offense

The offensive recruits include dynamic players who will strengthen the Yotes' attack across multiple positions:

  • Quarterbacks: Kelsen Sperry (Sheldon, OR) and Jakobe Mullins (BSU/Gooding HS) bring strong leadership and playmaking abilities under center. 

  • Tight Ends: Ian Richter (College of the Redwoods), Will Hook (Kent State) and Tivon Sakaguchi (Bonneville, ID) will add versatility in the pass game and the run game.

  • Wide Receivers: Jackson Ames (Westminster University/Corner Canyon HS, UT), Hunter Steacker (BSU/Rocky Mountain HS), and Mason Wayne (Owyhee, ID) bring speed and precision to the receiving corps.

  • Offensive Line: Landon Biglin (Kamiakin, WA), Hayden Hull (Cascade, ID), and Triston Tomco (Sandpoint, ID) are poised to provide protection and power in the trenches.

Spotlight: Kelsen Sperry was a standout quarterback for Sheldon HS in Oregon, earning All-State Honors his senior year. He went 10-1 as QB1 and threw for 25 TDs and 2 interceptions on 69% completion percentage.

Spotlight: Jackson Ames is a proven winner with state titles in both football and track. A 3.9 GPA student, Ames chose the College of Idaho after a warm and welcoming visit where the coaching staff and players made him feel at home.

Spotlight: Mason Wayne is excited to play in front of friends and family while receiving a great education. His academic dedication is reflected in his 3.5 GPA.

Spotlight: Landon Biglin, a two-time First Team All-State offensive lineman from Kennewick, Washington, chose the College of Idaho because the coaches felt like family, and he experienced good vibes on campus. In addition to his gridiron success, Biglin is an avid bowler.

Spotlight: Ian Richter is a versatile athlete from Anchorage, Alaska, who holds college weight room records. He brings a competitive edge to the linebacker and tight end positions.

Defense

The defensive unit features athletes ready to bring tenacity and skill to the Yotes' lineup:

  • Defensive Line: Dahani Alvarado-McDaniel (Meridian, ID), Wade Vining (Council, ID), Ezekiel Bagby (Independence, CA), Julian Tapia (Nampa, ID), and Daniel Larios (Minico, ID) will anchor the defensive front.

Spotlight: Dahani Alvarado-McDaniel was a reliable presence on the Meridian HS football team this last fall tallying 44 tackles, six sacks, and eight tackles for loss.

Spotlight: Wade Vining was a first team All-State selection his senior year, and was a force on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He will be joining his brother, Wyatt Vining as a Yote.

Spotlight: Ezekiel Bagby, a three-year captain from Bakersfield, CA, is a relentless competitor. In addition to his success on the football field, Bagby is a lifelong competitive Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and affiliate of 208 Jiu Jitsu in Nampa, ID. He looks forward to contributing to a program that feels like home.

  • Linebackers: Quinn Hood (Fruitland, ID), Brodie Fleshman (Skyview, ID), Henry Downey (Skyview, ID), and Markus Powers (Bishop Kelly, ID) bring strength and leadership to the linebacker group.

Spotlight: Quinn Hood is a 2x All-State and 3x All-Conference linebacker from Fruitland, Idaho. A standout in multiple sports, including wrestling and baseball, Hood chose the Yotes for their strong program history and close proximity to home.

Spotlight: Henry Downey is a 1st team All-Conference linebacker from Nampa, Idaho. With a stellar 4.3 weighted GPA and a class rank of 5, he values the academic excellence and positive environment at the College of Idaho.

Spotlight: Markus Powers was a 1st team All-Conference selection at Bishop Kelly HS, he will add depth and versatility to the linebacker group.

  • Defensive Backs: Mason Priddy (College of the Redwoods), Cody Sanchez (Filer, ID), Enzi Myricks (Bishop Kelly, ID), Easton Millward (Butte College), Braden Meredith (Lake City, ID), and Parker Allumbaugh (Bishop Kelly, ID) will fortify the Yotes' secondary.

Spotlight: Parker Allumbaugh An exceptional multi-sport athlete from Bishop Kelley will bring toughness and leadership to the DB group. Also a decorated wrestler and lacrosse player, he will spend his off season as part of the lacrosse program.

Spotlight: Cody Sanchez, a versatile DB/WR from Twin Falls, Idaho, brings speed and athleticism to the defense. With track medals and impressive football stats, Sanchez is eager to continue his football journey at the College of Idaho. He enjoys teaching himself random skills, from magic to sign language. As a youth football player, Sanchez was featured on the TV show Friday Night Tykes, which sparked his passion for the sport.

Spotlight: Mason Priddy, a standout DB and returner from Vancouver, Washington, chose the Yotes for the opportunity to surround himself with high-quality, hard-working individuals.

Spotlight: Enzi Myricks, a talented safety from Bishop Kelly, chose the College of Idaho to stay close to home and looks forward to making an impact on the field.

Looking Ahead

The College of Idaho football program is excited to see these new Yotes in action as they prepare for the upcoming season. Their dedication and diverse talents promise to make a significant impact on and off the field. The Yotes will continue to add to the 2025 signing class as the spring progresses.
