Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT C OF I:
Bostrom is in his fourth season with the Coyote track and field program. Over the course of his career, he has earned two All-American honors, five All-Conference selections, and was named 2022 Conference Runner of the Year for his outstanding performances. His accomplishments include winning the Cascade Conference 10k Championship in 2024, further establishing himself as a leading distance runner in the region. 

Track & Field:

  • 5000m: 14:39.21 at the Oregon State High Performance (Apr 2024)
  • 10,000m: 30:41.14 at the L&C Larry Byerly Invite (Apr 2024)
  • 3000m: 8:39.11 at the 2024 Riverfront Invitational & Multis (Feb 2024)
  • 3000m Steeplechase: 9:32.48 at the Yote Icebreaker Open (Mar 2024)
  • Mile: 4:28.31 at the 2024 Stacy Dragila Open (Jan 2024)
  • 800m: 2:03.03 at the EOU Last Chance Indoor (Feb 2024)

Cross Country:

  • 8k: 23:51.8 at the 49th Charles Bowles Willamette XC Invitational (Oct 2024)
  • 7k: 21:44.3 at the Dr. Thad Scholes CSI XC Classic (Sep 2024)
  • 6k: 18:51.7 at the EOU Open (Sep 2022)
HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2021 graduate of Timberline High, where he was a part of the cross country and track teams; in cross country, helped his team to the 2019 5A state title and fifth-place finishes in 2018 and 2020, had a 5,000-meter top time of 15:32, placing third as a junior and ninth as a sophomore and senior at the 5A state championships; in track, had top times of 4:26.20 in the 1,600-meters and 9:23.79 in the 3,200-meters, placing seventh in the 3,200-meters and 13th in the 1,600-meters at the 2021 5A state meet. In the classroom, Hayden won the Heart of the Wolf award for outstanding academic performance. 
 
PERSONAL:
Joining the Yote Fam from Boise, ID, Hayden was raised by Steve and Amy Bostrom. Aside from his efforts on the track, Hayden is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Psychology. He chose The College of Idaho because of the well rounded education and exciting team atmosphere.
