Bruss is in his first season competing with the Coyote men's track and field program. 

EVERETT CC:

College Bests

• Shot Put (Outdoor): 9.66 meters (31 feet 8.5 inches)
• Discus (Outdoor): 34.20 meters (112 feet 2 inches)

Notable Competitions

• At the 2022 NWAC Championships, he achieved a discus throw of 31.96 meters, finishing 14th overall.
• During the NWAC North-West Regional Championships, he recorded a discus throw of 32.00 meters, securing 5th place.
• In various meets throughout 2022, he consistently performed well, including a best shot put throw of 9.53 meters at the WWU Ralph Vernacchia Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL:
As a former team captain at Everett Community College (EVCC), Bruss demonstrated leadership and commitment, earning recognition as an NWAC Conference Qualifier. In addition to his athletic prowess, Bruss excelled academically, being named the #1 High School Journalist in Washington in 2021, showcasing his talent for storytelling and communication.

PERSONAL:
Joining the Yote Fam from Seattle, WA, Slim was raised by Jason and Erika Bruss. Aside from his efforts on the track, Slim is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in International Political Economy. He chose The College of Idaho because "It's not often you get to compete in a sport you love while receiving one of the best educations in the west coast. I wanted a school that would bet on me as much as I bet on myself, I found that as a Yote".
