CORVALLIS, Ore. — The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced its Presidents' Academic Excellence awards for the 2025-26 academic year, recognizing eight institutions for their outstanding achievements in the classroom.
The College of Idaho earned the distinction for the 10th consecutive year and 13th time overall, continuing a dominant run in the history of the award. The Yotes have claimed the honor in all but one year since its inception.
To receive the designation, an institution must post a combined student-athlete grade point average of 3.0 or higher across sports in which the CCC sponsors a championship. Additionally, at least 60 percent of eligible student-athletes must earn Academic All-Conference recognition, which requires sophomore standing and a minimum 3.2 GPA.
"Earning the President's Academic Excellence designation represents the highest academic honor our departments can earn from the Cascade Conference," CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell said. "It is a great accomplishment and recognizes the outstanding efforts in the classroom."
The College of Idaho recorded a 3.49 overall GPA with 76 percent of its eligible student-athletes earning Academic All-Conference honors.
Bushnell (3.48 GPA, 71%), Carroll College (3.55, 88%), Corban (3.38, 73%), Eastern Oregon (3.44, 75%), Lewis-Clark State (3.45, 79%), Oregon Tech (3.48, 74%), and Southern Oregon (3.41, 70%) also received the designation for the 2025-26 academic year.
