Trevor Shoopman Named MCLA National Player of the Month

ATLANTA, Ga. - Trevor Shoopman has been named the Lacrosse Specialties March MCLA Player of the Month. In the month of March, Shoopman averaged 5.4 points per game against foes such as No. 4 Montana State University, No 18 Western Washington University and RV Western Oregon University.

Shoopman has had a breakout freshman campaign. He currently sits in the top five in total points and assists in the MCLA on the season. He and the Yotes are 11-0 and have reached third in the MCLA coaches's poll.

An elated College of Idaho head coach Drake O'Neill described Trevor as " a true student of the game and it has paid dividends for him during the start of his freshman campaign. From late night shooting sessions to always watching film, he puts in the work on and off the field. Throughout this past month, he has shown he can do just about anything from behind the back finishes to riding hard. He is a Swiss army knife of an attackman. Trevor has made a tremendous impact within our offense and our entire program throughout the first half of the season."

Shoopman and the Yotes will take on No. 3 Air Force in neutral site action in Logan, Utah on April 10th with a 2:00 PM MT start.
