LEWISTON, Idaho. - The College of Idaho men's and women's golf teams each placed fifth at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship Presented by US Bank, hosted by Lewis-Clark State College at Lewiston Golf Club.
Reece Garey was named a CCC All-Conference selection following her performance throughout the season. The honor is awarded to the top 12 players based on average scores in CCC hosted tournaments. Garey capped her year with a fourth-place finish at the conference championship, leading the Yotes with a three-round score of nine over par. She showed consistent improvement across the tournament, shooting four over on day one, three over on day two, and two over in the final round. Garey finished just four strokes behind the individual champion.
The College of Idaho women were also recognized with the Team Sportsmanship Award, while head coach
Jeff Davies earned CCC Women's Golf Coach of the Year honors.
Lauryn Bulger contributed an 18th-place finish for the Yotes, carding a three-round total of 24 over par. Her strongest showing came in round two, where she posted a six-over score.
Olivia Lammey finished in 20
th with a three day total of +26.
Karissa Goff finished 34th, while
Halle Richter placed 36th to round out the scoring for C of I.
On the men's side,
Carson King led The College of Idaho with a 16th-place finish after shooting four over par for the tournament. King opened the championship with an impressive one-under-par round and totaled eight birdies across the three days.
Lucas Rynearson placed 22nd at eight over par, collecting 12 birdies during the tournament, including three consecutive birdies on holes four through six in the second round.
Nathan Ishaya finished 25th,
Parker Edwards took 27th and
Braden Brown closed the event in 28th.
Both Yotes squads wrapped up the conference championship with fifth-place team finishes, concluding a strong showing for The College of Idaho at the CCC's premier postseason event.
