Bremerton, Wash – The College of Idaho Men's and Women's golf teams made the trip to Bremerton Washington to compete at the University of British Columbia's tournament at Gold Mountain Golf Course. The UBC invite field included golfers from University of British Columbia, Oregon Tech, University of Victoria (B.C.), North Idaho Community College, Bushnell University, Walla Walla University, Lewis-Clark State College, Southern Oregon University, Ottawa University Arizona, Multnomah University, and Corban University. The Lady Yotes finished in seventh with a +76 team score. They finished ahead of conference rivals Bushnell University (+88), Walla Walla University (+93), and Corban University (+240). The men finished in eighth with a three-round score of +61. The Yotes finished ahead of Walla Walla University (+68), Multnomah University (+75), and Bushnell University (+80).
On the women's side,
Kaylee Jones once again led the Yotes. She finished T5 in the event after finishing par after the first round and +2 in the final round. She finished only 4 strokes off of first place which featured a three-way tie from a pair of UBC golfers and an Oregon Tech golfer. Jones finished the two rounds with six birdies. Rounding out the Yotes were
Reece Garey (T31) finishing with +18,
Lauryn Bulger (T45) with +30, and
Olivia Lammey (53) with +31.
The men's team was led by
Carson King who finished T23 at the UBC Invite. King finished +10 over the three-round tournament. He got six birdies over the two days.
Cole Wasson (T23) finished with +16,
Jack Phipps (T37) with +17,
Drisan Booth (T39) with +18, and
Nathan Ishaya (T41) rounded out the Yotes scorers with +19.
The Yotes will travel next to the Fall Timber Invite on October 28
th and 29
th hosted by Bushnell University. The Fall Timber Invite will wrap up the fall season for the Yotes golf teams.
