SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – College of Idaho women's golf captured its first tournament title in five years, winning the Tall Timbers Invite by a commanding 45 strokes. Hosted by Bushnell University on Oct. 28-29, the tournament saw standout performances from the Yotes, with Kaylee Jones leading the way by finishing second individually.
Jones posted two strong rounds with scores of 76 and 84. Reece Garey followed in third place, posting an 88 on day one before improving with a 79. Olivia Lammey placed fifth, with consistent rounds of 86 and 85, while Lauryn Bulger rounded out the top six with an 89 and an 85, helping C of I secure a two-day team score of 674.
On the men's side, College of Idaho entered two teams, with the "A" team placing third, just three strokes shy of second. The "B" team came in right behind them in fourth. Carson King and Lucas Rynearson led the way, finishing third and fourth individually. King posted rounds of 76 and 73, while Rynearson carded a 76 and 74 in an evenly matched effort.
The Yotes' performances signal a promising season ahead for both programs. The teams will now take the winter off to practice and prepare for an exciting spring season.
