CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho's student-athletes continue to set the standard in the classroom, earning Presidents' Academic Excellence status from the Cascade Collegiate Conference for the 2024-25 school year, the league office announced Thursday.
The award is the CCC's highest academic honor, recognizing athletic departments that maintain a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or higher in CCC-sponsored sports and have at least 60 percent of eligible student-athletes (sophomores or above, excluding transfers, with a 3.2 GPA or better) earn Academic All-Conference honors.
The Yotes exceeded both marks, finishing the year with a 3.48 cumulative GPA across CCC sports, and 73 percent of eligible student-athletes receiving Academic All-Conference recognition. In addition, every athletics program on the College of Idaho campus posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year.
"Earning the President's Academic Excellence designation represents the highest academic honor our departments can earn from the CCC," said Commissioner Robert Cashell. "It is a great accomplishment and recognizes the outstanding efforts in the classroom."
The College of Idaho was one of ten institutions across the conference to receive the honor.
