Yotes Earn Silver in 2024-25 CCC All-Sports Title

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) announced the final rankings of the 2024-25 CCC All-Sports Title. The College of Idaho finished less nine points adrift from the top to finish second place with 202.76 points on the season. The Yotes were bolstered by four regular season conference championships by both men's and women's cross country, as well as women's soccer and men's basketball. The Raiders of Southern Oregon Univ. finished with 211.07 points after being champions in both men's and women's wrestling along with women's basketball. They were also co-champions in volleyball and softball while earning second-place points in men's soccer, women's cross-country, and beach volleyball.

Men's Basketball Bringing back the NAIA National Championship to Caldwell for the second time in three years was supported by domination of CCC opponents in regular season action. The Yotes averaged 88 points an night while holding their conference opponents to 64 points. The Yotes finished their conference play with a blistering 21-1 mark. They won by 20 points or more twelve times. The  team saw multiple members earn recognition in the CCC postseason awards, headlined by standout forward Straton Rogers being named the CCC Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. Rogers' relentless defensive presence and dominance on the boards were pivotal in the Yotes' success, as they secured both the CCC regular season and tournament championships. In addition to Rogers' accolade, head coach Colby Blaine was named Coach of the Year, and four Yotes, Johnny Radford, Drew Wyman, Samaje Morgan, and Tyler Robinett, earned all-conference honors.

Men's Cross Country The Yotes men's cross country team capped a historic season with a national championship, finishing first at the conference meet with a dominant score of 24 points. Daniel Butler led the team to victory, securing first place and earning the title of CCC Runner of the Year. He was supported by stellar performances from Elias Everist, who finished third, and Hayden Bostrom, who placed fifth. The Yotes comfortably outpaced second-place Eastern Oregon, which scored 59 points. Head Coach Dominic Bolin was honored as NAIA Head Coach of the Year for his leadership in guiding the team to unprecedented success.

Women's Cross Country The College of Idaho women's cross country team delivered another exceptional performance, finishing seventh nationally. At the conference meet, the Yotes earned a team score of 25 points, led by individual champion Kahea Figueira, who was named CCC Runner of the Year. Kylee Quinton took third place, and Julia Gilbert also contributed significantly to the team's success with her fifth place finish at conference. Their 25-point effort left second-place Southern Oregon far behind with 83 points.

Women's Soccer The Yotes women's soccer team achieved perfection in CCC play, finishing with a flawless 12-0 conference record for the second consecutive year. The team, now 19-0-2 overall, has made a historic run in the NAIA Championships as the #5 seed. The Yotes dominated their conference opponents, scoring 49 goals while conceding only six during the conference season, and earning shutouts in seven of 12 matches. Larissa Wegner was named CCC Offensive Player of the Year and joined Eden Makaafi, Alexis Eiguren, Kyndra Lyons, and Isabel DeVille on the All-CCC First Team.
