CALDWELL, Idaho - The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) announced
Jackson Cummins as CCC Pitcher of the Week for his performance in game one against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.). Cummins is the second straight Yotes pitcher to win the award.
Cummins came in with only a one run advantage in the top of the fifth. He threw the remaining five innings, giving up zero runs against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) to ensure a Yotes victory. He fanned five of the 19 batters he faced. The Yotes would go on to defeat the Eagles 12-4 in the first game of the sweep.
Cummins and the Yotes will take on Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho) from February 21st through 23rd in their first conference match up of the season.
