MCCALL, Idaho – The College of Idaho ski team kicked off its 2025 season with two days of Giant Slalom competition at Brundage Mountain, highlighted by standout individual performances and solid team results. After the opening weekend, the C of I men sit second in the Northwest College Ski and Snowboard Conference (NWCSC) standings, while the women are fourth.
Men's Ski
On Saturday, Carson Parco led the Yotes with a stellar performance, cutting three seconds between his first and second runs to secure a third-place finish with a combined time of 2:16.13. Teammates Jiri Vesely (2:19.44) and Cade McIntyre (2:27.44) also earned top-20 finishes, placing sixth and 15th, respectively, as the team claimed second overall.
Parco carried the momentum into Sunday, improving his combined time to 2:12.27 and securing a second-place finish after shaving six seconds off his first run. McIntyre added another top-20 finish, placing 19th with a time of 2:29.38. The Yotes finished third as a team on day two.
Women's Ski
Caitlyn Bumpers paced the women's team on Saturday with a third-place individual finish and a combined time of 2:19.81. Hadley Dunlevy joined her in the top 20, finishing 19th with a time of 2:32.05, helping the Yotes to a fourth-place team finish.
On Sunday, Dunlevy shaved five seconds off her performance to finish seventh at 2:27.04, while Ursula Allen rounded out the top-20 finishes for the Yotes with a time of 2:32.27 in 17th place.
The Yotes will continue their season in two weeks when they head to Mt. Spokane on the 25th and 26th of January.
