LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - The College of Idaho women's ski team took second in the Women's Skier Cross on the second day of the USCSA Nationals. Leading the way for College of Idaho was the All-American performances of
Taylor Watkins (4th),
Caitlyn Bumpers (7th),
Sasha Mueller (9th) and
Isabelle Gustafsson (10th). Also for College of Idaho was
Kayla Vandecoevering, who took 25th. The Yotes tallied 20 team points, just behind Rocky Mountain, who recorded 14 place points.
The men were in action in the giant slalom and had just three in action as they were led by a 13th-place and All-American finish by
Carson Parco, who clocked a run of 1:14.50.
William Paquette was 42nd (1:21.30), followed by
Ben Troyer, who was 48th (1:22.94). Head Coach
Aaron Flynn noted that due to dense fog, the first run was stopped twice and the second run was canceled with continuing rain and conditions expected to get worse.
