KELLOGG, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's ski team finished in second place to start the final giant slalom qualifier event of the season in Kellogg at Silver Mountain.
Carson Parco led the way for the Yotes, finishing second overall with a time of 1:50.45. Parco's first run ended with a time of 53.62, and he followed it up with a time of 56.83 in his second run. Just a half second behind Parco was Benjamin Troyer, who took third overall. Troyer ended his first run with a time of 54.12 and ended his second run with a time of 56.88.
Rounding out the top-three Yotes skiers was
William Paquette, who finished in fifth place overall. Paquette's first run ended with a time of 54.45, and his second run finished with a time of 58.13.
The Yotes will return to the slopes tomorrow in the final giant slalom qualifier of the season, before moving on to slalom qualifiers next week.
