Men's Swim Wraps Up Vandal Invite

MOSCOW, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's swim team wrapped up the Vandal Invite, hosted by the University of Idaho in Moscow, on Sunday.

In the 200 yard backstroke, Alec Chournos earned an NAIA B cut and took home first place, as the Yotes swept the backstroke event once again with Jaxon Gronning in second and JD Heberlein in third.

In the 200 yard breaststroke, Cahill Robinson was able to shave off six seconds from his prelims time to take first place and earn his second B cut of the weekend, finishing with a time of 2:11.99. Sam Cortes earned a personal best time by over five seconds to earn third place in the event.

Joel Hartmann earned two more B cuts in his 200 yard fly and 1650 freestyle, taking first place in the fly and second in the freestyle. Ruben Paiva also earned a personal best in the 1650 which earned him third place.

The Yotes will have the next two months off of competition before returning to the pool in California in February.
