SERIES HISTORY: Carroll holds a 6-5 advantage in the all-time series with a 3-3 mark in contests played in Helena. The last time College of Idaho won consecutive meetings in Helena against the Saints was in 2019 (47-14) and 2017 (27-6).

PETERS - A DUAL-THREAT QUARTERBACK: Quarterback Andy Peters has moved ino the top 10 all-time in pass attempts (416, fifth) and pass completions (273, fourth) and passing TDs (24, fifth).
  • Twice on the season, Peters ran for over 100 yards - including a 57-yard touchdown run - in the win over Rocky Mountain. His 57-yard touchdown run is the fifth longest in program history since the return of football.
  • Two weeks ago, against Montana Tech, Peters completed 28 passes (4th) on 42 attempts (3rd) for 354 yards (6th) among the best single-game efforts in program history. Last week against MSU-Northern, he threw for a career-high four passing touchdowns. He is just one of six quarterbacks in program history to have four-or-more passing touchdowns in a game. The efforts earned him Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week for a third time in 2023. Furthermore, he has had a touchdown pass in 15 of his 16 games as a Yote.
SCHOFIELD FINDS END ZONE: Senior wide receiver Jon Schofield has scored eight touchdowns on the ground and eight through the air. His 16 touchdowns leads the Frontier Conference and is tied for first in the NAIA. Based on information available, this is the first time that a player has scored multiple touchdowns in six-consecutive games. Also, he is just the fourth player in program history to score at least 16 touchdowns in a season. His next touchdown would tie the single-season record held by Ted Martin in 1953; Tom Winbigler in 1948 and Darius James Peterson in 2016.

GRINDING IT ON THE GROUND: College of Idaho holds a 5.7 to 2.9 advantage in average yards per rush, 175.3 to 98.6 in average yards per game rushing and 20 to 6 in rushing touchdowns.

END ZONE VARIETY: To complement the 16 touchdowns by Jon Schofield, 12 other Yotes have found the end zone in 2023. Four of the Yotes (Ed Berglund, Caden Cobb, Ben Hruby and Chip Mitchell) scored the eight touchdowns against Arizona Christian and were their first touchdowns of the season.

STIFLING DEFENSE: In holding MSU-Northern to 17 yards of total offense had the C of I athletic communications department scurring through the record books. The effort is the lowest on record by an opponent. All four of the Saints first downs came via penalty. The -6 yards of rushing by MSU-Northern is the fewest by an opponent since the Yotes stifled the Saints to -15 in last season's matchup on October 1.

POTENT OFFENSE: College of Idaho has scored 43 TDs (leads the Frontier Conference; 2nd nationally; fifth all-time in program history) and 311 points (44.4 ppg / leads the Frontier Conference; fifth nationally; sixth all-time in program history). The eight touchdowns against Arizona Christian were the most since a school record 10 touchdowns against OUAZ on November 23, 2019. It is the fifth time in program history that the Yotes have scored eight touchdowns in a game.

SPECIAL SIMONS: Kickoff specialist Cameron Simons had a career-high four touchbacks against MSU-Northern. For the season, 16 of his kickoffs have been touchbacks. The 16 touchbacks are the most in program history since the return of football in 2014.

KICKOFF CHATTER: Caden Cobb, last Saturday, returned the kickoff to start the second half back 100 yards for a touchdown for a second-straight week en route to Frontier Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. He is just the third player in program history to have two kickoff returns for a touchdown in a season - John Finlay in 1974 and Ted Martin in 1953. Cobb holds the career record for kickoff return yardage with 1,437 yards.

THIRD QUARTER SUCCESS: Through the first seven games, College of Idaho has outscored its opponents, 103-3 (69-3 in the last four games) in the third quarter. In 2022, the Yotes scored a team-best 117 points against opponents in the third quarter. Since 2015, College of Idaho has outscored its opponents in the third quarter - 648 to 339.
