Ben Hruby (Boise, Idaho / Bishop Kelly HS) and redshirt sophomore wide receiver
Brock Richardson (Fallon, Nev. / Churchill County) were named to the 2022 Academic All-America football teams selected by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Hruby and Richardson helped lead College of Idaho to a share of its fourth-straight Frontier Conference title in the fall en route to an 8-2 overall record. The Yotes ended the season at No. 18 in the final NAIA National Poll. In addition to the All-American honors, the two were also on the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athlete list. On the field, Hruby saw action in all 10 games where he made six catches for 49 yards and was a key blocker that picked up 1,900 yards on the ground and 1,957 through the air. Richardson came back from a redshirt season to lead the team with 43 catches for 600 yards and five touchdowns.
Hruby and Richardson are the sixth and seventh Academic All-Americans in the history of the program.
