CHASING THE CROWN: A win on Saturday will give College of Idaho a share of the Frontier Conference title for the fourth-straight year. The last two seasons, College of Idaho has shared the title with its only outright Frontier Conference title coming back in 2019. The last team to win four-straight was next week's opponent Carroll College, who won 12 in a row from 2000 to 2011.
SECOND HALF SUCCESS: In the second half, in 2022, College of Idaho is outscoring its opponents by a 176 to 65 margin. Furthermore, the Yotes are converting 29 of 55 (52.7%) of its third downs compared to 20 of 54 (37%) by its opponents. The time of the possession also favors, the Yotes in the final 30 minutes with a 101:50 to 85:19 margin on the season.
PICK OFF THE RAIDERS: In both wins over Southern Oregon, last week's opponent, College of Idaho had a pick six against the Raiders. Earlier this season,
Keegan Croteau intercepted a pass and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown that put the Yotes ahead 35-24. Last week,
Jacob Arms stepped in front of the Raiders pass and ran it back 57 yards for a touchdown to the game at 21. The interception to go along with eight tackles earned Arms the Frontier Conference/Erck Hotels Defensive Player of the Week honors.
RUN RUN RUN: Running back
Allamar Alexander ran 54 yards for a touchdown against Southern Oregon. The longest touchdown run since a 76-yard touchdown run by Nick Calzaretta against EOU on November 6, 2021.
HAULING IT IN: Wide receiver
Brock Richardson had nine catches for 96 yards and a touchdown against SOU. The nine catches are the most by a Yotes receiver since a 10-catch effort by
Jake Nadley in last year's season finale against Carroll. Four of the nine receptions came on the game-winning drive against the Raiders.
GROUND GAME GLANCE: College of Idaho ranks 14th nationally (fourth among teams with eight games played) and is second (trails Montana Western, who has played nine games) in the Frontier Conference in rushing yards with 1,626 yards on the ground.
