MCCALL, Idaho – College of Idaho skiers swept the top two spots on the podium, as the Coyote men claimed their second-straight Northwest Collegiate Ski Conference giant slalom qualifier title at Brundage Mountain.
William Paquette recorded his first individual title, throwing down the top first run and holding off the 48 other racers for the win – clocking a time of 2:09.69. Freshman
Carson Parco clocked his second-straight second-place finish (2:10.46), less than a second behind the winning time.
The Yotes finished the day with a 2-run team time of 6:44.89 – six seconds clear of Washington State (6:50.80) and third-place Washington (7:02.55).
Cade McIntyre was key to the Coyotes success, placing 12th (2:24.84), recording the third scoring time.
Michael Coleman (2:38.24) took 19th and Vince Sibetang placed 33rd (3:01.64) – the first qualifying times of their careers.
C of I return to action next weekend, traveling to Silver Mountain for a pair of slalom qualifying races.
