Sami Dement shot a final round 82 to help The College of Idaho women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Warrior Spring Invitational at Clarkston Country Club.
The Yotes improved their team score by 12 strokes on Day 2, finishing the 36-hole event at 716 (364-352), finishing ahead of Montana Tech (374-364 – 738) and Whitworth (388-389 – 777). Northwest Nazarene took the team title (325-329 – 654), one stroke ahead of host Lewis-Clark State (327-328 – 655).
Dement tied for the fourth lowest score of Round 2, jumping 13 spots in the final standings to finish tied for 12th at 171 (89-82).
Teammate
Kaylee Jones finished in 16th (85-90 – 175), with Mahala Laforge in 22nd (89-90 – 179) and Makala Goforth in 31st (101-90 – 191).
LCSC's Lauren Hamm claimed the individual title at 6-over-par 150 (77-73), seven shots ahead of Rocky Mountain's Claire Wright (79-78 – 157).
C of I returns to the L-C Valley next weekend, competing in the Lewis-Clark State Invite.
