KANSAS CITY, Mo. – College of Idaho guard
Talon Pinckney was honored today as a first-team selection to the National Association of Basketball Coaches NAIA Division II All-America Team.
The senior guard is the first two-time NABC All-America selection in program history and only the third C of I player to earn the distinction (Josh Wilson – 2015, Aziz Leeks – 2018).
Pinckney led the Coyotes to a 31-3 overall record and finished the 2019-20 season ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Division II. The Cascade Conference Defensive Player of the Year helped C of I complete a 20-0 league record and claim their third-straight CCC Tournament title.
The Boise native led the CCC in steals, while averaging 10 points and five assists per game.
The team was selected the NABC All-America committee, comprised of NAIA Division II coaches that are members of the NABC.
