Makayla Goforth earned a win in her first collegiate competition, as The College of Idaho opened their 2020-21 women's golf season with a match play event vs. in-state rival Lewis-Clark State at Crane Creek Country Club.

The Calfornia native closed out a win over LCSC's Mylaina Parker on the 16th hole, with her 3-and-2 win the lone point scored by the Coyotes on the cold, blustery day in the foothills.
LCSC claimed victories in the first two pairings, as Grace Wilbur topped
Maya Hatton, 3-and-2, while Kelci Parker stopped
Sami Dement, 2-and-1. The Warriors closed out their win in Match 4, as Nicole Propheter outlasted
Mahala LaForge, 1-up.
The two teams are scheduled to play a head-to-head 18-hole dual match tomorrow, beginning at Noon.
