HOME WIN STREAK CONTINUES: With their win over Eastern on Saturday, the Yotes extended their win streak at Simplot Stadium to four – their second 4-game win streak at home in three seasons (C of I won their final four home dates in 2017). C of I last won more than four in a row at home was between the 1958 and 1959 seasons, when the club picked up five wins (and two ties) during a seven-game stretch. Since football returned to the College in 2014, C of I is a combined 15-12 in home games.
DOMINANT WIN: The 48-12 win over Eastern Oregon was the largest margin of victory by a C of I ever at Simplot Stadium and the largest victory margin overall in 58 years. On Nov. 4, 1961, the Yotes passed for a school record six touchdowns – including four to Ken Leonard – in a 67-0 victory at Hayman Field. The 48 points scored by the Coyotes marked the sixth time in their last eight home dates that the team has surpassed the 40-point mark.
