COMPLETE MEDIA GAME NOTES

TOP DRAW IN THE FRONTIER: Big crowds at the four home games at Simplot Stadium have the Coyotes leading all Frontier Conference schools in attendance and ranked No. 3 in the NAIA. C of I is averaging 3,782 fans per game on the season – well ahead of Frontier Conference foes Montana Tech (2,814), Carroll College (2,722), Southern Oregon (2,234), Eastern Oregon (1,105), Rocky Mountain (1,092), Montana Western (904) and MSU-Northern (770). Indiana Wesleyan leads the NAIA in attendance for a second-straight year, averaging 3,943 fans per game, with Evangel (Mo.) (3,935) just ahead of the Yotes. Thomas More (Ky.) (3,397) and St. Francis (Ind.) (2,891) round out the Top-5 in the NAIA attendance race – with C of I needing to draw 4,585 fans in their regular-season finale to win the attendance crown. C of I has outdrawn 27 NCAA Division I teams; would rank in the Top-50 of the NCAA Division II in attendance; with the Yotes well ahead of all NCAA Division III Northwest Conference teams –Whitworth (2,318), Linfield (2,136), George Fox (1,980), Pacific (1,846), Puget Sound (1,694), Willamette (967), Pacific Lutheran (892) and Lewis & Clark (519).

TOP WIN STREAKS: The 15-game win streak by the Yotes is the second-longest active streak in the NAIA, behind the 24-straight wins by current No. 1 ranked Morningside (Iowa). Only four other schools in all of college football have longer streaks than the Yotes – Division III Mary Hardin Baylor (24 games), Division II Valdosta State (24 games), Division I FBS Clemson (25 games) and Division I FCS North Dakota State (31 games).

NAIA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES INFORMATION: The Coyotes are currently in position to qualify for their first-ever berth in the 16-team NAIA Football Championship Series, which will begin on Nov. 23. To earn an automatic bid, a team must win their regular-season conference title and be ranked within the Top-20 of the final AFCA Top-25 Coaches Poll. At-large berths are allotted to the highest ranked teams remaining that did not receive an automatic berth. First-round games are awarded to the Top-8 ranked teams in the final poll (as long as they meet the NAIA bid requirements). The NAIA championship game is set for Dec. 21 in Grambling, La.

IF THE YOTES HOST: If C of I earns a first-round NAIA FCS home game, current reserved season-ticket holders will have first right of refusal for their current tickets for a 48-hour window after the bracket is released prior to reserved tickets being available to the general public (reserved tickets would go on sale to the general public on Wednesday morning, Nov. 20). General admission tickets will be available following the release of the pairings. No complimentary tickets will be available for the NAIA FCS.

TEAMS IN THE PLAYOFF HUNT: So far, eight teams have clinched conference titles – Grand View (HAAC North), Kansas Wesleyan (KCAC), Marian (MSC-Mideast), Reinhardt (Mid-South Appalachian), Keiser (Mid-South Sun), St. Xavier (MSC-Midwest), Dickinson State (North Star) and C of I (Frontier) – with four titles up for grabs. Morningside and Northwestern will play for the GPAC title, Baker and Evangel will play for the HAAC South title, Lindsey Wilson and Cumberlands will play for the Mid-South-Bluegrass Division title, while Ottawa needs a win in their final game to clinch the Sooner Athletic Conference crown. The four highest rated teams not among the 12 conference champs, will receive at-large bids to the NAIA FCS.
