TOP DRAW IN THE FRONTIER:
Two big crowds to open the 2019 season have the Coyotes leading all Frontier Conference schools in attendance and ranked No. 3 in the NAIA. C of I is averaging 4,191 fans per game on the season – well ahead of Frontier Conference foes Montana Tech (3,026), Carroll College (2,695), Southern Oregon (2,123), Rocky Mountain (1,466), Eastern Oregon (1,300), Montana Western (1,042) and MSU-Northern (900). Edward Waters leads the NAIA in attendance, averaging 4,523 fans, just ahead of Evangel (4,424), with the Yotes ahead of St. Francis Thomas More (3,911), St. Francis (3,828), Morningside (2,566) and the University of Cumberlands (2,455) in the NAIA attendance race. C of I has outdrawn 29 NCAA Division I teams; would rank in the Top-50 of the NCAA Division II in attendance; with the Yotes well ahead of all NCAA Division III Northwest Conference teams – Linfield (3,200), Whitworth (2,875), George Fox (2,010), Pacific (1,951), Puget Sound (1,908), Pacific Lutheran (987), Willamette (850) and Lewis & Clark (496).

HIGHEST RANKING EVER: For the second-straight week, the Coyotes remained at No. 8 in the AFCA-NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, equaling the highest ranking in program history. C of I received 295 voter points from the 17 conference raters and are ranked for the seventh-straight polling period. Two other Frontier Conference teams are in the Top-25 - Montana Tech at No. 19 and Montana Western at No.22. The poll will be released each Monday throughout the season.

STREAKING: The Coyotes closed out the 2018 season on a six-game win streak, extending their streak to 11 games with their 47-14 win last Saturday at Carroll -  their longest run of victories in 65 years. It is just the second 11-game win streak in program history, joining the 1952 and 1953 teams that eventual won a school-record 14 games in a row, closing 1952 with six-straight wins and opening 1953 with eight wins in a row. C of I will put a 5-game home win streak on the line - trying to become the fifth C of I squad to win 6-or-more straight at home (six in a row between 1949-50 and between 1951-52; eight in a row between 1947-49; 10-straight between 1952-54 - all part of a 10-year period where C of I was 39-4-1 at home).

5-0 STARTS: The win over Carroll improved C of I to 5-0 on the season - their best start since the 1969 season. The Coyotes have began a season 5-0 or better five times - with the 2019 team joining the 1919, 1934, 1935 and 1969 teams that started 5-0. The 1953 Coyote team opened the season 8-0, before losing 14-12 in the Refrigerator Bowl.

OFF BYE WEEKS: The victory over Carroll improved the Coyotes to 5-0 coming off a bye weekend since the 2014 season. C of I is now 9-10 all-time following bye weeks.
