MOSCOW, Idaho -
Nic Carrier became the first College of Idaho men's diver to compete in an intercollegiate competition - and punched his ticket to the NAIA Championships in the process - after a great effort on the 1-meter board against Grand Canyon and Simon Fraser at the University of Idaho Natatorium.
The freshman recorded a six-dive score of 207.65 points - ahead of the NAIA provisional mark of 200 points - with his degree of difficulty also surpassing the NAIA minimum. Carrier posted the second-best 1-meter score in the NAIA this season.
Two women's divers - Aunika Thomas and Alex Fisher - also competed, but their results have not been posted.
C of I closes out the regular-season in three weeks at the Puget Sound Last Chance Meet.
