GAME TIME MOVED TO 1 P.M.: Officials at Montana Western have moved the game time of the C of I-Western contest from a Noon kickoff to 1 p.m. Poor weather is expected in Beaverhead County throughout the week, with officials hoping an extra hour of possible sunlight on Saturday can help dry the natural grass surface.
LOOKING FOR A FIVE GAME WIN STREAK: A win today would extend a C of I win streak to five games - which would extend the longest win streak since football returned in 2014. The Yotes last win streak of longer than four games was in 1969, when Ed Bonaminio's squad opened the season 5-0. The club has won 5-or-more games in a row 10 times - including a 7-game win streak between the 1948-49 seasons, an 8-game win streak between the 1934-35 seasons, and a 14-game win streak between the 1952-53 seasons.
YOTES RECEIVE VOTES IN THE TOP-25: For the first time since the preseason poll, the Coyotes earned votes in the NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll, released Monday. C of I received three voter points from the 16 conference raters and was one of four teams just outside the Top-25. It marks the fifth time in program history that the Yotes have received votes in the poll, but have never been ranked in the Top-25.
AN ELUSIVE WIN IN DILLON: The Coyotes will be gunning for their first-ever win at Vigilante Field, as C of I is 0-5 all-time on Western's home field. Four of the five previous meetings have been one-score games - including a 20-17 decision in 1976, a 30-27 last-second loss in 2014, a 24-20 last-second loss in 2015 and a 14-12 setback last season.
