OAKLAND, Calif. – Five College of Idaho women's swimmers hit NAIA qualifying marks, competing today in the Mills College Duals at Trefenthan Aquatics Center.
COMPLETE RESULTS
The Lady Yotes earned dual wins over Soka (129-46) and Mills (118-65), while losing to both Division II schools – Cal State East Bay (153-46) and Biola (139-59).
The lone victory on the day came from
Maddy Kelly, as the C of I All-American hit an automatic NAIA qualifying time in the 100-yard freestyle (53.48).
Fellow All-American
Caroline Yannelli took second in the 200-yard IM, hitting the bonus cut with a time of 2:16.12.
Three others had "B" marks on the day –
Maya Murphy in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.82), along with both
Laurel Rowe (5:33.41) and
Taylor Gordon (5:33.57) in the 500-yard freestyle. The C of I 400-yard freestyle relay also hit an "A" mark on the day (3:44.23).
C of I will compete tomorrow in the six-team Bay Area Invitational.
