JUNIOR YOTES DAY / CANCER AWARENESS DAY: Saturday is Junior Yotes Day at Simplot Stadium, with all kids 17-and-under receiving free admission to the contest. In addition, it is C of I's annual Cancer Awareness Day, with all fans asked to wear pink to the game.
Â
YOTES STOP TOP-25 TEAM: C of I extended their win streak to two games with a 23-20 overtime win at No. 25 Montana Tech - their sixth all-time win against a nationally-ranked team. Since football returned in 2014, the Yotes have played 26 of their 51 total games against Top-25 teams (not including two against NCAA Division I foes) - with 10 of the games against Top-10 teams. Saturday's game will be the fourth game against a nationally-ranked squad - joining games against then-ranked No. 4 Southern Oregon, No. 21 Rocky Mountain and No.25 Montana Tech
FOLLOWING A BYE: A week off has been huge for the Coyotes - winning their first two games out of the bye in each of the past three occasions. In 2015 - C of I earned wins at Montana State-Northern and a home win vs. Rocky Mountain; last season, the squad followed a bye with a road win at Carroll and a home win over Montana Western - starting a string of five wins in six games to close the season; with the 2018 team earning a Homecoming win over Carroll and last week's upset of Montana Tech.
·Â
YOUTH FOOTBALL TO PLAY AT HALFTIME: Stick around at halftime on Saturday, as for the fifth-straight year, youth football players from the Caldwell Exchange Football League will be holding their season ending jamboree - players ranging from third grade to sixth grade.
