The Lady Yotes won 9-of-11 events in their dual with host Mills, crushing the Cyclones, 149-48, for their first win of the season. The Coyote men recorded four victories, but overall depth from UC-Santa Cruz helped the Banana Slugs defeat C of I, 127-77.

Mckayla Stevens won a pair of events for the Lady Yotes – claiming the 200-IM with a school-record time of 2:18.88 and also grabbing a victory in the 100-back (1:04.19). The freshman also swam the lead leg on C of I's winning 200-medley relay squad (1:57.08).

Selena Warburton hit the NAIA "B" standard with her second-place finish in the 100-free (57.44), with Kirby Roberts hitting the "B" cut with a win in the 200-free (2:04.12). The duo was also a part of the victories 400-free relay team that swam the second-fastest time in program history (3:53.55).

Other winners for the Lady Yotes included Jenessa Bushman in the 1,000-free (12:40.79), Allie Godfrey in the 100-fly (1:05.45), Madeleine Sato in the 500-free (5:46.96), and Emily Hawgood in the 100-breast (1:18.88).

It was an uphill climb for the Coyote men in the team race, as UCSC had three-times the number of swimmers in the pool, but nonetheless, C of I had a great afternoon under the sun.

For the second time this season, sophomore Tyler Maryon broke his own school record in the 100-fly, winning his race in a time of 54.27 – improving his NAIA "B" qualifying standard.

David Riser also broke a school record, crushing the mark in the 1,000-free with his second-place finish in 10:13.45. The freshman also swam the second-fastest 500-free time in school history, hitting the NAIA "B" cut with his second-place finish in 4:56.74.

Corbin Cooper notched the lone NAIA "A" time of the day, winning the 200-free in 1:48.07, while anchoring the victorious 400-free relay (3:19.05). Nolan Hill picked up his first win of 2013, claiming a victory in the 100-free (50.21).

Both C of I teams return to the pool tomorrow morning, competing in the Bay Area Invitational.
