Weight Room Facilities

J.A. Albertson Activities Center

Built in 1991, the Activities Center is the hub of Coyote Athletics, housing most athletic department offices - including that of the athletic director, associate athletic directors, and the sports information staff.  The JAAAC gymnasium seats 2,422 fans at capacity for basketball and volleyball games, but also houses the physical education and kinesiology departments and their classrooms. The building houses the Jeker Family Fitness Weight Training Room and includes several bench and squat racks, a Smith machine, a variety of assisted weight machines, a crossover cable machine, a dumbbell rack, several treadmill, elliptical, and bike machines.  The building also houses a climbing wall, a dance studio, training room and treatment facilities, and a large locker room.  Adjacent to the JAAAC is the Albertson Aquatic Center, a 500-seat natatorium for the Coyote swim program, featuring a 25-yard, six-lane pool with a diving  well.

Built in 2014, the Marty Holly Center is the newest building in the C of I athletic complex - the first new campus building constructed in a decade.  The 22,000 square foot facility provides training and support facilities for all Coyote student-athletes, including the football, soccer, tennis, and track and field teams.  The building houses the weight rooms which include over 16 squat and bench racks, dumbbell racks, crossover cable machines, 4 way neck machines, plyometric and sledgehammer equipment, stability balls and other stability equipment, bands, chains and assisted weight machines. The weight room also includes a cardio balcony which has several treadmill, elliptical, and bike machines, along with a dumbbell rack and a crossover cable machine. The building also includes men's and women's locker rooms, classroom space, coaches' offices, and houses the C of I sports medicine office.
