AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Salmen is in his third season with the Coyote swim program.

2018-19: Used the season as a redshirt year.

2017-18: Earned three NAIA All-America honors as part of relay teams that set school records at the NAIA Championships, helping the 200-free relay place fifth, with the 400-free and 800-free relays take eighth; qualified for three individual events at the NAIA Championships, placing eighth in the consolation final of the 100-backstroke (52.77); top times of 21.61 in the 50-free, 47.08 in the 100-free and 1:56.29 in the 200-IM.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Boulder Creek High, where he placed seventh in the 100-back (53.47) and ninth in the 50-free (22.01) at the 2016 Arizona Division I State Championships; also had top marks of 48.18 in the 100-free and 1:46.63 in the 200-free.

PERSONAL: Undecided major; son of Jon and Kendra Salmen.
