AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Van Horne is in his fifth season with the Coyote baseball program.

2020: Had an outstanding season on the mound prior to the year ending due to CoVID-19; went 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 30.1 innings of work, adding a team-best 42 strikeouts; pitched six innings of 1-hit ball vs. Simpson, striking out a career-high 11 batters; struck out eight men in a no-decision at Corban, adding nine strikeouts at Lewis-Clark State; as a position player, tied for the team-lead with nine stolen bases, adding a homer, four doubles and four RBI; named to the CoSIDA NAIA Academic All-District 4 Team, along with the Cascade Conference All-Academic Team and a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

2019: Played in all 51 games as an infielder and pitcher, leading the team with 14 doubles and 25 RBI; hit .250 on the season, with three home runs and 30 runs scored; had 13 multi-hit games and a 12-game hit streak, went 7-for-12 with seven RBI in a road series at Oregon Tech; on the mound, finished 3-4 with a 3.79 ERA in 35.2 innings, striking out 43; struck out six in four shutout innings at Oregon Tech, while tossing six innings of three-hit ball at Lewis-Clark State; named to the CCC All-Academic Team and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

2018: Played in all 48 games as a sophomore, playing third base, shortstop and the outfield; hit .217 with four home runs and 22 RBI, recording eight multi-hit games; hit a game-tying three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth in a 12-11 victory over MSU-Billings; ended the season on a 5-game hitting streak; named to the CCC All-Academic Team.

2017: Played in 55 games as a freshman, splitting time between third base and the outfield; hit .229 with three home runs and 28 RBI, adding nine doubles and a team-high four triples; named NAIA West Player of the Week in March after going 5-for-13 with six RBI in a road series at Oregon Tech; went 4-for-5 with a double and eight RBI in a win over Corban; went 4-for-11 in the NAIA West Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Caldwell High, where he was a four-time All-Southern Idaho Conference honors, earning Player of the Year honors as a senior; as a senior, hit .405 with eight doubles, three triples and 22 RBI, while posting a 3.18 ERA on the mound; played for the Caldwell SilverStreaks American Legion program.
