Yotes Wrap Regular Season with Breakthrough Performances in Boise

CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho track and field teams closed out their regular season Friday at the Ed Jacoby Twilight, hosted by Boise State, producing a strong late-season showing with one NAIA national "B" qualifying mark, 11 Cascade Conference qualifying marks, 13 top-10 program performances and 44 personal records.

On the men's side, Kenyon Carter highlighted the day with a victory in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.83, while also adding a 400 hurdles time of 55.73 and a long jump mark of 6.39 meters that met CCC qualifying standards. Carter also anchored a 4x100-meter relay squad of Tristin Veach, Cody Sanchez, Carter and Cash Mckie that placed third in 41.94, now No. 5 all-time in program history.

Veach turned in one of the busiest performances of the meet, running 10.88 in the 100 meters for seventh all-time at the College of Idaho and adding a CCC qualifying 22.31 in the 200 meters. He also contributed in the field with a long jump of 6.51 meters and a pole vault clearance of 4.05 meters.

Oclan Ryan finished fourth in the 1500 meters in 3:56.85, while Reed Martin placed third in the discus at 48.71 meters. In the throws, Lucas Midgett (51.64m, hammer), Keenan Blair (51.26m, hammer) and Tyson Terry (49.49m, hammer) all posted top-10 program marks, with Blair also improving his own No. 7 all-time hammer mark.

Aiden Everard cleared 4.35 meters in the pole vault for second place and a tie for No. 6 all-time, while Xavier Harms (13.72m, triple jump) and Nolan Mead (13.49m, triple jump) both moved up the program record lists with top-five finishes.

On the women's side, the 4x800-meter relay team delivered the biggest result of the day, winning in 9:23.36 to hit an NAIA national "B" qualifying standard. The time ranks No. 6 all-time at the College of Idaho and currently sits No. 8 in the NAIA.

Kylee Quinton led the distance crew with a third-place finish in the 1500 meters in 4:39.65, while Rozzlyn Cazier added a seventh-place finish. Allison Horsley continued her strong sprint season with a 12.38 in the 100 meters and 26.06 in the 200 meters, earning CCC qualifying marks and moving to No. 6 all-time in the 100.

In the hurdles, Brooke Lowery added another CCC qualifying mark in the 100 hurdles (16.09) and placed seventh in the 400 hurdles. Helene Rae finished third in the shot put at 14.16 meters and improved her own No. 9 all-time hammer throw mark with a 46.39-meter effort.

The Yotes will now shift focus toward postseason competition with the Cascade Conference Championships on May 8-9 at Eastern Oregon University.
